In the 1920s, Simeon and Beatrice Alparce finished building a home in Bacacay, Albay, intended as a sanctuary for their children, grandchildren, and generations to come. Nearly a century later, the family chose to keep the structure intact, preserving every plank of timber and every story embedded in its walls. Today, Casa Simeon stands on its original site as an active ancestral house, welcoming travelers who are looking for something far deeper than a standard trip. It showcases early twentieth-century Spanish and American colonial home architecture without feeling commercialized or artificially reconstructed.
